NOTES GREENSBORO, N.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team finished the fall portion of the schedule with a 13th-place finish at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate on the Grandover Resort East Course. The squad shot 308 today for a 54-hole total of 901.
"We have a lot of work to do over the winter to prepare for the spring season," coach
Mark Guhne shared. "We'll get started on that as soon as we get home. There is so much talent on this team. We know the level we are capable of playing at, we need to work over the next few months to get there."
Senior
Kory Webb had the team's best finish playing as an individual. He tied for 24th tying his career low total of 2-over par 218 after a final round 73 (+1).
"Kory is figuring a few things out," Guhne added. "I'm proud of him and the way he played this week. We're at six on the roster right now, so it is a fight for the five lineup spots. There is a lot of time for each of our guys to decide who our best five is before we tee off again in February.
"That'll be shown on the practice tee, workouts and qualifying. Each of our guys are workers so I know we are going to take a big step forward in the spring."
Junior
Wes Gosselin paced the team effort tying for 35th at 222. That was one clear of sophomore
Stuart Thomas posted who tied for 41st at 223.
Brooks Thomas (T59, 227),
Lake Johnson (T73, 233) and
