The Chattanooga Mocs softball team hosts Meet the Mocs Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. (E.S.T.) in the UTC Indoor Hitting Facility. The free meet-and-greet promotes the upcoming 2016 season.

"This event is focused on our fans getting to see us practice," head coach Frank Reed stated. "We always know when it comes this time of year, we're getting ready to kick the season off."

Six-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year Reed previews his squad and introduces the returners and newcomers. After being introduced, the team participates in a light practice on their full-size indoor infield.

Following the practice, coaches and student-athletes sign autographs and hand out posters and schedule cards. Come out and enjoy this great opportunity to meet your 2016 Mocs.

The UTC Indoor Hitting Facility is located at 1254 E 3^rd Street.

The Mocs start the 2016 season Feb. 12 at the NTC Tournament in Clermont, Fla. The squad faces Morgan State, Liberty, Akron and Bethune-Cookman twice. UTC opens up home action in the Chattanooga Spring Classic Feb. 19-21 against Dayton, Detroit Mercy, UT-Martin, IPFW and Wright State twice.

Softball season tickets are on sale now. A season ticket is $50. Individual games are $5 for adults and $3 for youth, except the Frost Classic and Chattanooga Classic are $10 a day for adults and $5 a day for youth.
