Following a morning public practice, the football team held a Meet the Mocs Day Saturday at Finley Stadium.
Nearly 400 fans were treated to a free lunch, courtesy of Longhorn Steakhouse, and an autograph session in the First Tennessee Pavilion.
Free team photo posters were available to the fans, and each football student-athlete signed autographs for over an hour.
"This is a fun way to meet and greet our fans," Head Coach Rodney Allison said. "We take pride in our accessibility and our community involvement, and we feel good about showing the community what our program is all about."
Saturday marked the final situational preparations for the Mocs prior to its season opener Saturday in Norman, Okla., against No. 4 Oklahoma.
This week's schedule will be the regular game-week schedule. The team will take Monday off then resume practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before departing for Norman Friday morning.
Allison said the team would not wear full pads this week or have any contact.
