Photos, Highlights and Interviews from Today's First Practice

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team opened fall training camp with a 3:00 p.m. practice session on Scrappy Moore Field today.  Over 70 fans and spectators strolled down the Riverwalk to watch new head coach Russ Huesman and the rest of the Mocs work to “Restore the Glory” to UTC football.

Chattanooga made the most of its two-hour-plus practice session, conducting the standard, early-season drills in a helmets-only environment.  The Mocs welcomed 30 new faces to the practice field, including 27 freshmen who got their first taste of college football.

“I thought it went well today,” stated Huesman.  “I thought we had great energy and enthusiasm and I thought they were having fun out there.  You expect that the first day.  You hope that they would come out with energy.  Overall, I was pretty pleased.”
