TEAM
- The No. 3 Chattanooga Mocs had their seven-game winning streak snapped with a 17-14 loss at Mercer today … UTC drops to 7-2 overall and a game behind The Citadel (7-2, 6-0 SoCon) in the SoCon race … Mercer improved to 4-5 overall and 1-4 in SoCon play.
- This was the first SoCon home win for the Bears who are in their second year in the league.
- The loss snapped a school-record 12-game winning streak for UTC, dating back to the start of the 2014 season … the Mocs last league loss was also 17-14, at Samford on Nov. 16, 2013. 
- UTC committed a season-high four turnovers (2 INT, 2 fumbles lost).
- The Mocs posted 417 yards of total offense, compared to Mercer's 335.  First time this season UTC has outgained its opponent and lost.
- UTC was just 2-4 inside the redzone today.
- Mocs did not record a sack for second game of the year … only other time was against triple-option Wofford.
- Lucas Webb's third quarter interception was the first committed by Mercer QB John Russ this season. 
- There was only one penalty in the game between the two teams … face-mask against UTC in the 4th quarter.

INDIVIDUAL
Malcolm Colvin – So.-TE
- One catch for five yards.
- First career catch and only catch by a TE this season.

Derrick Craine – Jr.-RB
- 102 yards on 23 carries. 
- Lost a fumble for just the second time this season.
- 5th 100-yard rushing game of the season … 6th in his career … this in last four games.

Jacob Huesman – Sr.-QB
- 24 carries for 112 yards and two TDs.
- 15-21 for 197 yards and two INTs passing.
- 13th career 100-yard rushing game ties the school record held by Eldra Buckley (2005-06), James Roberts (1989-93) and Mike Smith (1978-80).
- Broke Gwain Durden's (1997-80) school record for career rushing yards in the game 3,686 rushing yards ... passed Villanova's John Robertson (2011-15) and The Citadel's Jack Douglas (1989-92) for seventh all-time in rushing yards for FCS quarterbacks.
- 11,245 yards of total offense is the UTC record ... one of only three in SoCon history with more than 10,000 yards ... tops among active players in the FCS in total offense ... 49th in FCS history to top 10,000 yards … passed Brady Attaway (Stephen F. Austin - 2009-13) for 27th place all-time in FCS history.
- UTC record holder with 7,539 career passing yards ... passed Marshall's Michael Payton (1989-92) for sixth all-time in the SoCon.
- School-record 38 career rushing TDs.
- 97 TDs is a school record, third among active players in the FCS and third all-time in the SoCon.
- 228 career points is second all-time at UTC ... needs 14 points to pass Matt Vick (1997-00). 

James Stovall – So.-WR
- Career-high six catches for 78 yards.
- 39-yard reception in the third quarter.

Lucas Webb – So.-DB
- Career-high 10 tackles.
- Tied for game-high.
- Second INT of the season … 8th of his career.
