Tuesday – Dec. 15, 2015TEAM- The Mocs scored an 80-69 win over Tennessee Tech tonight … UTC improved to 8-2 overall while the Golden Eagles dropped to 7-4.Â
- UTC led by as many as 23 midway through the second half before Tech cut the lead to 11 in the final minute.
- The Mocs shot 16-32 (50%) from the field, 12-20 (60%) from 3-pt. range and 8-10 (80%) from the FT line … 60% from behind the arc is a home game team record for UTC, topping the previous mark of 58.8% (10-17) against ETSU on Feb. 1, 2003.Â
- Fifth time this season UTC has shot 50% or better from the floor … Mocs only did that seven times all of last year.
- Second time this season shooting over 50% from 3-point range … only did it three times last year.
- Fifth time this year with 10+ threes … last time the Mocs did that was five times in 2013-14.  Â
- The Mocs led 31-29 with 2:54 left in the first before a
Greg Pryor three sparked a 9-0 run to end the half with a 40-29 lead.
- A dunk by Tennessee Tech's Ryan Martin with 18:17 left cut the lead to 42-37 … UTC then went on a 14-2 run to take a 56-39 lead on back-to-back
Tre' McLean three pointers with 14:20 left ... ballooned to a 24-4 run to go up 64-41 with 10:45 on back-to-back

- UTC outrebounded TTU +13 (38-25) … best margin on the glass since +18 (50-32) against Appalachian State on March 1, 2014 … Mocs led 13-4 in second chance points thanks to 13 offensive rebounds .
- The game was somewhat close at the break thanks to 10 first half turnovers by the Mocs … only four in the second half.
- Chattanooga's leading scorers in the starting lineup shot 18-26 (69.2%) from the field, including
Tre' McLean (7-11),
Greg Pryor (6-8) and
Eric Robertson (5-7) … that same group was 11-14 (87.6%) from three, including McLean (3-3), Pryor (3-4) and Robertson (5-7).Â
- The Mocs led wire-to-wire for the second time this season (Alabama State).
- UTC held TTU's leading scorer, Torrance Rowe (17.5 ppg) to just four points on 1-5 shooting.
