The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team kicks off fall action this weekend at the Elon Invitational in Elon, N.C.  Five Mocs are making the trip to the three-day event that starts Friday. 

Seniors Alison Storie and Katie Polk lead the way for head coach Jeff Clark's squad.  They are joined by junior Rachele Gazzola and freshmen Sydney Patton and McKenzie Barco. 

"We are very excited about kicking off the 2015-16 season," stated Clark.  "The team has been working hard over the summer and since the beginning of the semester, and we are ready to face some outside competition. "

Representatives from Elon, Emory, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern, Liberty, UNC Asheville, N.C. A&T, N.C. Central, UNCG, Richmond, USC Upstate, Wake Forest, Western Carolina and Winthrop are all competing in the six singles and doubles draws.  Complete draws are attached with this story. 

Gazzola and Polk team up in doubles play, as well as Storie and Patton.

Chattanooga is coming off an outstanding 18-4 season that included a second place finish in the Southern Conference at 7-1.  The Mocs return four starters to the lineup and welcome a top-20 mid-major recruiting class for the upcoming season.
