- The Mocs posted a 77-58 win over Western Carolina…now 15-3 on the season (7-0 at home), 4-1 in the Southern Conference…the Catamounts fall to 7-10, 2-2 in the league.

- UTC has won 10 of the last 11 and 12 of 14.

- This is the 14th straight home win for the Mocs.

- 15-3 start is the best since the 1983-84 Mocs opened 16-3…that squad played in the NIT beating Georgia (1983 Final 4 team) in overtime in the Roundhouse before a narrow two-point loss at Tennessee.

- Last 4-1 start in the SoCon? Last year (7-1).

- 391-221 in regular season SoCon games…238-67 at home.

- 62-23 series lead for UTC…37-3 in Chattanooga…51-20 in SoCon regular season matchups…won five of last six…2nd-most frequent opponent in school history (Samford-89).

- This is the third contest in a four-games-in-eight-day stretch…2-1 heading into Saturday's game against ETSU (5 p.m.).

- The Mocs are No. 10 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25.

- UTC entered the game leading the SoCon in 3pt percentage (38.0), while Western paced it in 3pt percentage defense (30.8) … Mocs shot 38.9% (7-18) tonight. 

- The Mocs led wire-to-wire for the third time this season.

- UTC is 12-0 when leading at the break.

- UTC was +10 on the boards (39-29) to improve to 12-0 when outrebounding its opponent … seventh time this season holding an opponent under 30 boards.

- Mocs tied a season-high with 31 FT attempts … made 22 … one shy of the 23 made against Tennessee Wesleyan (12/8/15).

- Second-straight game with five in double figures – Tuoyo 20, Ester 11, Pryor 10, McLean 10, Burroughs-Cook 10 ... third time this season.
