Chattanooga Football Quotes
Chattanooga at Western Carolina

Head Coach Russ Huesman
Opening thoughts on the game:
"It was a big win. We had to get it. This time of year every win is a big win. We told our guys before-hand that we are playing for a championship. Whether we are playing for one of not, I told them we are playing for a championship.
"I thought offensively we played really, really well. Defensively, we were not very good. Obviously, we've got to get better. I think defensive-line-wise we did a nice job and put a lot of pressure on them."
On the play of junior QB Tyler Roberson:
"A couple of big plays there by Tyler and a bunch of good plays. He missed some things and fumbled the snap at the end. If Tyler had executed a few more plays and not fumbled, he would have had a monster day."
On the struggles of the defense against the run:
"We didn't fit gaps. That first play, they hit us on the trap. We got that figured out and they went two-tights, two-backs, one wideout and they popped a couple on us there. We are going to be sick to our stomach when we look at it and see who didn't fit their gaps. The bottom line is, you have to fit gaps. We are not tricking people. They know where we are. They have to be in our gap when we are supposed to be in our gap and that didn't happen."
On the play of the offensive line:
"They are doing a great job. I love those guys. I challenged those guys before the game. I said our defensive line and our offensive line had to be great. Those two groups stepped up big time."
Junior OL Jacob Revis
Opening thoughts on the play of the offensive line:
"We had a great game plan going into the game. Our coaches got it for us throughout the week. I thought we did pretty well up front and the running backs always make us look good no matter who is back there. I felt like we played well together as a unit."
On adjusting to different runners:
"We just do what we are told. Craine is an incredible player and we love having him, but it is next man up. Our backups are almost as good as our starters. Put anybody back there on our team and we still have to play well."
Junior QB Tyler Roberson
Thoughts on his play today:
"I did alright. I think I capitalized on a few plays and I think I didn't on a few others. I would have really liked to close it out with a clean finish. You make mistakes and learn from it and move on. Today was a learning experience.
On posting 100 rushing yards:
"I figured I was close. I didn't know where I was. It didn't really matter. It was a collective effort. The line up front played incredibly well today. The holes were huge and I felt like there weren't many purple jerseys in front of me. I was just blessed enough to be the one carrying the ball."
