TEAM
- The No. 3 Mocs scored a 52-31 win over Mercer today … improve to 6-0 for the first time since 1968 and 4-0 in SoCon play … Bears drop to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in league action.

- Only 6-0 team in the FCS.

- This is the sixth time UTC has scored 50+ points under Russ Huesman (since 2009) ... second this season (66 vs. Shorter). 

- Mercer was held to 65 yards of total offense in the first half as UTC took a 38-3 lead into the locker room. 

- Tight ends Bailey Lenior and Malcolm Colvin both had TD catches in the first half … first TD catch by a UTC tight end since Faysal Shafaat had two against Furman on Nov. 22, 2014.

- 7-1 on Homecoming in the Russ Huesman era (since 2009).

- 13th-straight SoCon home win … last loss was against No. 2 Georgia Southern (38-31 OT) on Oct. 27, 2012.

- 33rd win for the 2016 senior class …. Ties school record set by 2015 and 1980 classes.

- 13th-straight win in the month of October for UTC … last loss was against No. 2 Georgia Southern (38-31 OT) on Oct. 27, 2012.

- Mocs piled up 531 yards of total offense – 273 rush and 258 lass … second time this season over 500 yards … came into the game leading the SoCon in total offense at 428 yards per game.

- 8/15 on third down … UTC was eighth in the SoCon on third down (32%) coming into the game.

- Montrell Pardue had a 29-yard pick-6 in the third quarter … 19th defense score in the Russ Huesman era … most in the league in that span. 

- UTC is 21-8 in SoCon home games in the Russ Huesman era … UTC was 15-31 in league games at Finley Stadium prior to Huesman's arrival.

Richardre Bagley – Jr.-RB

- 54 yards on a career-high 16 carries.

Alejandro Bennifield – Jr.-QB
- 23-32 for 258 yards and 4 TDs.
- 15-20 for 169 yards and 4 TDs in the first half.
- Tied a career-high for passing TDs set against Shorter & Presbyterian.
- 15 passing TDs this season.
- Career-high for completions.
- Ran four times for 27 yards and his fifth rushing TD of the season.   

C.J. Board – Sr.-WR
- Career-high seven catches for 87 yards and a TD.
- Season highs for catches and yards.
- Five catches for 73 yards and a TD in the first half.
- Caught a pass in 23 straight games.
- Tied with Alonzo Nix (2003-04) for the fourth-longest streak in school history.
- 25-yard TD catch in the first quarter … ninth of his career.

Xavier Borishade – Sr.-WR
- Seven catches for 96 yards and a TD.
- Season-high for receptions.
- Five catches for 71 yards in the first half.
- 7-yard TD catch in the second quarter ... 6th this season … 14th in his career.  

Malcolm Colvin – Jr.-TE
- Nine-yard TD catch.
- 1st career TD … 3rd career catch.
- Two of his three career catches are against Mercer.

Derrick Craine – Sr.-RB
- 160 yards and a TD on 17 carries.
- Played less than two quarters … half of the first and first possession in the third.  
- 14 carries for 151 yards and a TD in the first half.
- 10th career 100-yard game … ties Tyrone Coleman (1995-98) for the fifth most at UTC. 
- Broke five tackles for a career-long 54-yard TD run in the second quarter.
- Longest run since 
- 38-yard run in the first quarter.
- Nine runs of 20+ yards this season.
- 2,594 career rushing yards passed Eldra Buckley (2005-06) and Erroll Wynn (2006-10) for fifth all-time at UTC.   

Bailey Lenoir – So.-TE
- First career catch was a five-yard TD reception in the second quarter.

Nakevion Leslie – Sr.-LB
- Game-high 13 tackles. 
- Sixth game in his career with 10+ tackles … second this season.
- Added two QBHs.

Montrell Pardue – Jr.-DB
- 29-yard Pick-6 in the second quarter.
- Second career score … returned a fumble in the 2015 season opener against Jacksonville State.
- Tied a career-high with eight tackles.
- Added two PBUs.  

Henrique Ribeiro – Sr.-K
- 20-yard FG in the second quarter.
- 41-54 (76%) in his career.
- Passed Dennis Waters (1985-88) for second all-time in made FGs at UTC.
- 263 career points is one shy of Jacob Huesman's (2012-15) school record.   

Dale Warren – Jr.-LB
- First career INT in the second quarter.
