- Chattanooga captures 82-69 win at Tennessee…season opener for both teams.
- 2nd straight year the Mocs opened with road win over SEC opponent…92-90 in OT last year at Georgia.
- 30-10 during the DI era in season openers…4-9 when starting on the road…3rd triumph at an SEC school (Georgia, 2015-16 & Mississippi State, 1991-92, 85-73).
- 6-27 all-time vs. Tennessee…3-19 in Knoxville…1st win in the series since 12/5/04, a 69-68 victory.
- Largest margin of victory in the series for UTC…previous high was 11 during the 1922-23 and 1924-25 campaigns.
