TEAM
- The ninth-ranked Chattanooga Mocs ended their season with a 41-36 loss at No. 1 Sam Houston State (5th seed) in the second round of the FCS Playoffs. The Mocs finish with a 9-4 record while the Bearkats stay undefeated at 12-0.

- Mocs did not score first in the game for just the second time this season (Citadel). 

- Trailed at the half (21-14) for the fourth time this season (Citadel, Wofford, Alabama) … all four were losses.  

- 21 points in the first half are the fewest SHSU has scored in the first half this season … 14 points are the fewest Sam Houston State has scored in the first quarter in three games.

- SHSU had two three-and-outs and a turnover after it started to rain midway through the second quarter … got one first down on its four possession before the half. 

- Mocs sacked Sam Houston State seven times [Mack (2), Davis (2), Reynolds (2), McMillan] … season-high allowed for the Bearkats … SHSU came into the game having only allowed eight sacks all year, ranking No. 6 in the nation … most sacks in a game for UTC since seven against  Western Carolina (Oct 13, 2007).

- UTC's 531 yards of total offense tied a season-high … 236 rushing and 295 passing.

- Mocs held the ball for 39:26 in the game.

- Bearkats were held to a season-low 421 yards of total offense … 373 passing and 48 rushing. 

- UTC is 2-11 all-time against the No. 1 ranked team in the country … this is the third year in a row the Mocs have been knocked out of the playoffs by the No. 1 team … all three came down to the final possession. 

INDIVIDUAL
Alejandro Bennifield – Jr.-QB
- 26-43 for 295 passing yards and a TD.
- Career-highs for completions, attempts and yards.
- 26 passing TDs this season is one shy of Chris Sanders' school record (1999) and tied with B.J. Coleman (2009) for second-most in a season.
- Career-high 85 yards on 15 carries.
  
C.J. Board – Sr.-WR
- Six catches for 129 yards.
- 150 career receptions passes Terrell Owens (1992-95) and is tied with Alonzo Nix (2003-04) for fifth all-time at UTC.
- 2,032 career receiving yards passes Joel Bradford (2008-11) for fifth all-time at UTC.

Derrick Craine – Sr.-RB
- 115 yards and two scores on 22 carries. 
- 1,083 rushing yards for the year … 12th time a Moc has rushed for 1,000 yards in a season … Craine is the third to do it twice – Jacob Huesman in '14 & '15 – Eldra Buckley in '05 & '06.
- 31 career rushing TDs passes Keon Williams (2010-14) for second all-time at UTC.
- 12th career 100-yard game … fifth this season … fifth all-time at UTC.

Nakevion Leslie – Sr.-LB
- 14-yard INT for a TD in the second quarter.
- Second career pick-6 … other was at Appalachian State during his freshman season.
- Third career-INT.
- Team-high seven tackles.

Isaiah Mack – So.-DL
- Tied a career-high with 2.0 sacks from the interior.

???????Vantrel McMillan – Sr.-DL
- Sack in the first quarter.
- Second on the team with 7.5 sacks.

Taylor Reynolds – Jr.-DL
- Tied a career-high with 2.0 sacks from the interior.

???????Henrique Ribeiro – Sr.-K
- 3-4 on field goals.
- Made from 43, 37, 29 and missed from 42.
- 12-15 (75.0%) for the year.
- 48-63 for his career (76.2%) … second in career percentage.
- 3-3 on PATs.
- 304 career points … first Mocs with 300+ points in a career. 
- School-record holder for career FGs.
