Head Coach Russ Huesman:
Overall thoughts on the game:
"A win is a win.  It's big and they are excited about it.  Anytime you get a win in the conference it is huge.  We are happy with it, but we've got so much to clean up.  We are penalized way too much.  We did some stupid things towards the end, so we have a lot of work to do.  We have a good football team coming in."

On the play of the defense:
"For three-and-a-half quarters they were great.  The last half-quarter was not what we want to play defensively.  The first three-and-a-half quarters we were lights out." 

On the offense getting going in the fourth quarter:
"It was good to get a couple of touchdowns there, obviously.  We are not converting third down still. We are not blocking real well and knocking people off the ball.  We made some plays and Dro made some throws and a couple of catches."

On the blocked FG:
"We pride ourselves on shutouts and we wanted to get this one too.  I just felt like I had to go make a play right there.  Everybody did a good job.  Isaiah Mack got a good push, I just got my hand on it." 

On the physical play up front:
"We wanted to get after it, especially after halftime.  They got the ball first and had a chance to come back.  We just wanted to get off the field on third down."

On letting Furman back in the game in the 4^th quarter:
"We've got to finish.  No matter what the situation is.  No matter if they are on the one-yard line with three timeouts.  I don't care what it is.  We have to go finish."

On the start:
"Early on, I feel like they 'schemed' us up with the defensive front. Our running game really wasn't working like we wanted it to. Towards the end of the first half and the start of the second, we started picking it up and put points on the board."

On the 33-yard TD pass to C.J. Board:
"Perfect call by Coach (Jeff) Durden. He called it right, the defense did what we wanted them too and C.J. ran the route, made the catch and we got it in the end zone."

Assertion of the offensive line to start the second half:
"The senior leaders on the offensive line came in the locker room at halftime, got it together and came out strong in the second half and got the job done."

On first conference game as starting QB:
"Every game, we have to be ready. Everyone is coming for us. We've got the SoCon Champs (target) on our backs, so we're going to get their best every week."
