- Former head coach Grace Keith was honored before the game. Keith was first women's basketball head coach when it became a varsity sport. She served as honorary head coach.

- Chattanooga played in Maclellan Gym for the first time since Feb. 8, 2014 vs. Appalachian State. UTC is 175-87 in Big Mac.
 
- Chattanooga fell 58-57 to UCF … the Mocs are 0-2 on the year … UCF improves to 1-1.

- Chattanooga led by as much as 14 points – 35-21 with 1:18 to play in the second quarter.

- The game was tied five times … seven lead changes … UTC trailed at the start of the game but took the lead with 4:16 to play in the first quarter on a layup by Arianne Whitaker … the game was either tied or led by UTC over the next 30 minutes.

- The lead changed three times and the game was tied once over the final 4:18 of the game.

- UTC shot 55 percent (22-40) from the field … 6-of-9 (66.7%) from the 3-point line … 7-8 from the free throw line.

- UCF edged UTC on the boards 29-28 … UCF converted 16 offensive boards into 13 points … UTC had two points on five offensive rebounds.

- The Knights outscored UTC 30-22 in the paint … 25-18 off turnovers.

- The Mocs had 25 turnovers … second game with at least 24 miscues.

- Three UTC players scored in double figures.
