Cullowhee, N.C. – Ramsey Center

Jim Foster, Chattanooga head coach

On team's effort
"I'm not saying effort the other day. I'm saying six or seven breakdowns defensively [at UNCG] that are sort of inexplicable at this time of year. I thought the effort, we played hard, things we could have done better the other day we did better today."

"On ball movement"
"People were ready to shoot when it got to them or made decisions with what was available to them."

On the play of Nakeia Burks
"Depending on what defense we are playing, she can be very effective. The zone we were in today, her length comes into play her ability to push the tempo up the floor makes other teams play a little faster than they want to. She's getting better at that. She's understanding how to use her length, as a result she's playing pretty good basketball."

On three players in double figures
"Chelsey is making a change in defining her game. She's always been a score-first player. She understands that she needs to be a little bit different. The lowest percentage shot you can take in half-court offense is a jump shot off the dribble so why take that shot early in offense? Put the ball on the floor to advance it, draw some defense. If you move the ball from one side of the floor to the other the natural human instinct is to move closer to your player. If you stay on one side of the floor and take quick shots they have a rebounding advantage the whole time. You reverse the ball x-number of times, of course in reversing it, if a layup appears or a wide-open 3 take it. You don't need to do that with 20 seconds on the clock. You do need to do it with seconds – you better take it."

On the Gilbert sisters
"Obviously they've been playing together since they were children so that have a feel for where the other's going to be. Aryanna is more willing to shoot the ball. She's the better shooter. She leads in field goal percentage. We'd like her to shoot the ball more. She found some opportunities today."
