TEAM

- The Chattanooga Mocs scored an 87-85 double-overtime win against UNCG in McKenzie Arena tonight … the Mocs improved to 8-15 overall and 2-8 in SoCon play … UNCG dropped to 16-6 and 7-2 in league action.

- This is the fourth OT game of the season for the Mocs … first win … first win in OT since 72-66 at Mercer on Feb. 8, 2016 … had lost four in a row.   

- First double-OT win since 86-82 at VMI on Feb. 26, 2015. 

- Junior G Nat Dixon led all scorers with 30 points … second Moc this season to record 30 this season, joining Makale Foreman who had 30 at The Citadel on Jan. 13 … last time the Mocs had two different student-athletes score 30 or more in the same season was 2011 … 30 by Omar Wattad at The Citadel (1/13/11) and 41 by Ricky Taylor vs. UNCG (2 OT) (1/27/11).

- Mocs were 29-38 (76.3%) from the FT line … most makes this season ...

- Both teams let leads go late … Mocs were up six (62-56) with 1:39 left in regulation … UNCG was up seven (75-68) with 34 seconds left in OT.

- UNCG scored the first eight points of the first OT to go up 71-63 with 2:19 left.

- Mocs were 1-4 from the FT line the last 20 seconds of regulation … Mocs were 25-30 (83.3%) from the FT line the last 30 minutes of the game … five misses were huge.   

- Chattanooga did not score from the field in the last three minutes of OT … 7-8 from the FT line.  

- After hitting two FTs with 18 seconds left in the first OT to pull the score to 75-72, Rodney Chatman stole the in-bounds and hit a wild three to tie the game at 75.  He was fouled on the play, but missed the FT.

- This game featured 12 ties and nine lead changes.

- UNCG led by as many as 11 in the second half (49-38 – 14:51) … biggest comeback this season … largest second-half comeback since down 12 (41-29 – 15:13) at UNCG on Feb. 28, 2015. 

- Mocs won the battle on the boards 43-42 … UNCG held the advantage in offensive rebounds 15-9 and second-chance points 13-6.

- Spartans took 20 more shots [31-76 (40.8%)] than the Mocs [24-56 (42.9%)].

- Mocs are 24-18 all-time against UNCG … 14-6 at home … 20-15 in SoCon regular season games.

Rodney Chatman – So.-G
- 22 points on 5-10 shooting, 3-4 from 3-pt. range, 9-11 from the FT line.
- Most FTs made in a game.
- Tied a career-high with nine boards.
- Hit a game-tying three at the end of the first OT.
- Third game with 20+ points this season.

Nat Dixon – Jr.-G
- Game-high and career-high 30 points.
- Shot 9-16 from the field, 3-6 from three and 9-9 from the FT line.
- Career-high eight boards.
- Played a career-high 47 minutes … 17th game in a row with at least 35+ minutes.

Joshua Phillips – Sr.-F
- First career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 12 boards.
- Shot 2-5 from the field and 6-10 from the FT line.
- All 12 boards were on the defensive end.
