Goloputova to Join the Mocs in the Fall

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga head women's tennis coach Chad Camper announced the addition of Polina Goloputova to the Mocs' roster for the fall.  Goloputova hails from Astana, Kazakhstan, where she was a top juniors player.

"Polina has an all-around tennis game that will be very useful for us," stated Camper. "She has had a great junior career and I look forward to her game improving and really helping us take the program to a new level. The first time I saw her on video, I knew that we needed to make her a Moc."

Goloputova has been playing tennis for over a decade and was the No. 6 player in Kazakhstan in the U18 division.  She was in her national finals in doubles last year and won multiple junior tournaments during her career.

The daughter of Igor Goloputov and Irina Grebennikova, Polina also has an older brother Ilya.  Goloputova joins Lilly Holmes (Florence, Ala.) as the Mocs newcomers in the fall.
