Bryce Nunnelly, So.-WR
On leading the nation in receiving yards after the first two games.
"Yeah, I got told that I think today or something like that. I'm not really sure how I feel about that, I am just happy we are winning. We are 2-0 right now and that's all that really matters. If I lead the nation in receiving yards or if I don't have any catches, but we are still winning, that is fine with me."

On having back-to-back big games.
"Yeah, I mean it is not very common. You could say that for a guy to have that many yards, but it's really not me it's my teammates."

Head Coach Tom Arth

Tom Arth, Head Coach
On Saturday's OT win over The Citadel.
"Last Saturday was a really tough game for us. It was probably as physical as a game as I've ever been a part of. On both sides of the ball and both teams. It was fun to be a part of and it was very emotionally draining as a coach. I was very proud of our team and the resiliency they showed throughout the game. Especially in the third quarter and late in the second half then into overtime. To overcome a lot of adversity and continue to play well and hard, and ultimately come away with a victory, said a lot about the group. I thought there were many great moments in that game."

On the decision to go for two & the win.
"In those type of situations, you always want to do what's best for your program and what gives your team the best chance to be successful. In that moment, I truly felt that was our best chance to win the game. I have great confidence in all of our players. We totally trusted our offense to put the game in their hands. I thought that was a big moment for them. For them to know we had that type of faith in them, that group has shown improvement dating back to last season. They know that we believe them enough to put the game in their hands."

On the play from QB Nick Tiano and WR Bryce Nunnelly.
"I think if you look at both of those players, they are both having great success statistically. Overall, as a group on offense, it always starts with how you play up front. It starts with the offensive linemen. That group has improved and has allowed us to run the ball more effectively. Tyrell has been a big part of that and that has opened up more opportunities for Nick and Bryce. They are both very intelligent football players and understand the offense, and what we want to accomplish with what we call. That combination and their work ethic has led them to the success they are having. They've been making plays."

Khayyan Edwards, Jr.-LB
On coming out with a win at The Citadel.
"I think it was very satisfying. It was great to go into their house and come out with a victory, especially starting off SoCon play that way and letting everyone know we are coming in with a new attitude this year. It was very big for us."

On switching to defensive line mid-game at The Citadel.
"The first thing that came to my mind was the chop blocks because I had seen two guys already go down from it. When I got in, I was just wanted to play with my hands and use my eyes as best as I can. I had a little practice the week before for Tennessee Tech at d-line so I had a bit more practice there."
