Head Coach Matt McCall
On Iowa State's three-point shooting:
"I told the guys we could not let three-point defense catch up to us.  That is exactly what we did tonight.  It caught up to us.  We have not done a good job defending the three all year.  They come in and make 14 out of 29 and shooting 48%.  We go five for 20.  At the end of the day, that is the difference in the ballgame.

"We were pretty even on the glass.  We had 12 offensive rebounds, which I am happy about.  Playing on the road and a team makes 14 threes, you have no shot, especially against a top 5 team."

On the start of the game:
"I thought we got off to a pretty good start in the game.  The ball was moving a little bit.  Then they really tried to get out and pressure and deny the wing.  It was almost like we were a little bit shell-shocked.  A little bit intimidated almost.  As a coach, that is disappointing.  When the team looks intimidated and plays intimidated … in an environment like this and an opportunity like this, playing against a top 5 team in the country, you can't be intimidated.  You have to go for it.  That is why I am disappointed tonight.  I never felt like we really went for it.  We almost allowed them to take it to us."

On the environment:
"This is an unbelievable place to play.  I have been to Kansas and I have been to Kentucky, Arkansas and some great environments.  This is right up there."

On the play of Casey Jones in the first half:
"He was the one guy who was really aggressive in the first half.  I did not feel like he was intimidated at all.  He tried to impose his will on the offensive end of the floor.  He was aggressive.  In a game like this, you need your seniors to be aggressive."

On the press early in the game:
"I thought the press was good early on in the game.  We gave up one three against the press with a bad rotation and they were able to bang one home.  I thought the press was good at the end of the day.  They had 11 turnovers, eight or nine in the first half.  We were getting our press into the game.  At the end of the day, they made 11 threes in the first half and ended up with 14 in the game.  You are not going to win too many games giving up 14."

Justin Tuoyo – Jr.-F
On Iowa State:
"That's a talented team and we knew that coming in.  They have NBA-type players and they are well put together."

On getting off to a good start:
"That's our main goal this year.  We always want to get off to a quick start.  We want to get our feet wet.  We got out to a quick start, but then they came back."

On shooting the three:
"Coach McCall and I work on it every day.  I shoot it in practice and I shoot it when I am working out by myself.  I have confidence in it.  It is not the first or second thing I look to, but if it is there, I am going to take it.  I just felt like we needed to get something going, so that's why I jacked it tonight."
