Mocs Volleyball Hits the Road to Greensboro

Chattanooga is set to travel to Greensboro, N.C., to face UNCG on Saturday
The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team will head to Greensboro, N.C., for a SoCon matchup against UNC-Greensboro on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
The Mocs are coming off a 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-20) road loss to ETSU on Wednesday and fell to 11-8 overall and are now in a four-way tie for first at 4-2 in the conference.
"Our last opportunity we had to compete in conference, our team and staff had some regrets with how we performed," said coach Travis Filar.
"I have loved our response in the past as a team after performing below our standards ... and I expect us to do the same at Greensboro.
"When we compete the right way and compete together, we will have success."

UNC-Greensboro currently holds an 8-10 mark overall and a 3-3 record in SoCon play. They will play host to Samford on Friday before taking on Chattanooga on Saturday. They have only dropped a single set in their three conference wins over Wofford, The Citadel and Furman.
The Spartans are led on offense by junior Ashley Muench who has totaled 261 kills on the year, ranking fourth in the conference by averaging 3.73 kills/set. Sophomore Allison Penner leads the SoCon in assists/set by averaging 9.86 for the season.
Sophomore Christiana Gregory leads the conference in digs/set as she registers a 5.21 average in 70 sets played on the year. Another sophomore, Jasmine Jones, ranks fourth in the SoCon with 70.0 total blocks while averaging 1.03 blocks/set.
