TEAM- Chattanooga captured a 72-66 overtime road victory over Mercer Monday night…improve to 22-3 on the season (9-3 on the road), 11-1 in the Southern Conference…the Bears drop to 18-7, 8-4 in the league.
- 5th game in last 10 days…5-0 over that period…in the midst of a seven-game-in-15-day stretch.
- UTC has won nine in a row, 17 of the last 18 and 19 of 21…snapped Mercer's four-game win streak.
- The Mocs are 38-8 (.826) in league play since the start of 2013-14…17-6 (.739) on the road.
- Chattanooga is 31-34 all-time against Mercer…10-23 in Macon…3-1 in SoCon regular season matchups.
- Third straight win in the series…swept season series…Bears join Wofford and The Citadel in regular season sweep for the Mocs.
- 22-3 start is the best since a 26-3 beginning in 1982-83…that squad started 12-3 before a 14-game winning streak through SoCon play and capturing the 1983 tourney title…went 26-4 with a one-point loss (52-51) to Maryland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
