- The Chattanooga Mocs pulled out an 82-78 win over Samford … UTC improved to 15-4 overall and 6-1 in SoCon play … Samford dropped to 13-7 and 4-3 in SoCon action.

- 5-game winning streak for the Mocs … 5-1 on Saturdays this season.

- 408-224 in 40th year of SoCon regular season play … 17-3 in last 20 SoCon regular season games.

- Won 19 of the last 20 SoCon home games…95.0% winning percentage.

- No. 7 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll…released each Monday evening…ETSU (12) and UNCG (23) also ranked.

- Mocs ran out to an 18-point lead (29-11 at 9:23) in the early part of the game … made five of first six threes in the opening 10 minutes of play.

- Mocs held a 36-33 advantage on the offensive glass … UTC is 31-2 when outrebounding an opponent the last two seasons … 10-2 in 2016.

- UTC had a season-high 16 offensive boards … led to an 18-14 advantage in second-chance points.

- Samford shot 27-54 (50.0%) from the field … second best FG% against UTC this season (Arkansas State – 24-44 (54.5%) on 11/20/16).

- 47.1% (8-17) from 3-pt. range is the Mocs best in SoCon play this season.

Greg Pryor – Sr.-G
- Scored eight points in 25 minutes.
- 1,082 career points passes Stephen McDowell for 17th all-time at UTC.

Justin Tuoyo – Sr.-F

- Came into the game leading the SoCon and No. 11 in the nation with a 62.8 FG%.
