Derek Rende was a three-time Ping All-Region performer for the men’s golf program.  He made the All-Southern Conference team all four years at UTC and was the 2007 SoCon Freshman of the Year.

His career 73.067 scoring average was the best in school history when he graduated and is still sixth-best all-time.  Academically, he was a two-time All-American Scholar. 

He helped the Mocs to SoCon titles in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He was also a part of the first UTC men’s golf team to advance to the NCAA Championships in 2009.
