chattanooga MOCS

Phillip Tuckniss won three Southern Conference singles titles and three doubles championships during his career at UTC from 1980-83.  He represented his native country, Zimbabwe, in the 1988 Olympics.

Tuckniss won the No. 1 singles in 1983 at the Southern Conference Tournament.  He also teamed with Stewart Lawwill to take the No. 1 doubles and lead UTC to its sixth team title in a row.
 
Lawwill and Tuckniss won at No. 2 doubles in 1982.  Tuckniss brought home singles titles at No. 3 in 1980 and No. 2 in 1981.  He also won No. 1 double with George Jarck in 1980.
