Regina Kirk (1984-88) is the all-time scoring leader in the school’s women’s basketball history after compiling 2,376 career points. Remarkably, she averaged 20 or more points per game in each of her four years, including a 23.4 point average as a senior.

A two-time All-American, Kirk made the American Women's Sports Foundation (AWSF) second team as a sophomore in 1986. She followed that up with multiple honorable mention honors as a junior in 1987, including recognition from Street & Smith. 

Kirk led the Lady Mocs to back-to-back SoCon Championships in 1984-85 and 1985-86. She was voted the SoCon Player of the Year four times, named All-SoCon Tournament in 1985, 1986 and 1987 and earned Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors in 1986. She received AWSF Freshman All-America accolades in 1986 and was selected to the 1980s SoCon All-Decade Team.

One of the many impressive school records Kirk holds is points in a single game. She pinned a record 45 points on North Alabama her senior season. Overall, she registered 14 career games in which she scored 30 or more points against such competition as Florida, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and Southern Conference opposition.

Kirk is the school’s career leader in points, points per game (21.2), rebounds (1,086), field goals made (964) and attempted (1,912) and free throws made (418) and attempted (781). In season statistics, Kirk ranks first on the school charts in total points (654), points per game (23.4), field goals made (272), free throws made (121) and free throw attempts (212).
