Shilrlie Elliott led the men’s basketball team in scoring both of his seasons with the Mocs from 1959-60.  Playing for head coach Tommy Bartlett, he scored 11 points and had seven boards in a 76-74 win over Ole Miss on Feb. 9, 1960.  His two free throws at the end iced the game for the Mocs.

He averaged a team-best 12.9 ppg as a junior.  He came back to lead UTC in scoring again at 14.2 ppg as a senior.  He also added 5.0 rpg his final season with the Mocs.
