Willard “Pop” Keyser was an all-conference guard for the football team and a two-year letter winner on the basketball team for the Mocs from 1929-31.  He made the All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association team in 1929 when he helped Chattanooga to its second-straight title. 

Keyser was an All-Dixie Conference pick in 1930 and 1931.  The Moccasins won the Dixie Conference during his senior season with a 9-2 record.  He was also the student body President as a senior in 1931-32.  After graduation, he joined Scrappy Moore’s football staff and was the head basketball coach from 1934-40.  He was also Director of Athletics in 1932-33.
