Postgame Quotes vs. Kennesaw State

Head Coach Wes Moore
On the game:
"We still have a long way to go. We are still trying to get some more urgency. Again, most of these young ladies are more laid back than I am and that was our big thing going into the game. We had to do everything with urgency. We did a better job, but still there is a long way to go."
On the freshman contributing to the team:
"I like that group. Again, they are going to make mistakes and that is the tough part. We are going to have nights where it is not a whole lot of fun and not really pretty, but I think we have to bring them on because they are going to make us better later on down the road."
"I think Erin Helton with nine rebounds. Kayla Christopher did not have a great shooting night, but did some good things. Kylie Lambert did not shoot the ball well, but did a great job in setting up people and getting assists. Of course Michelle Davis is a freshman also and did a good job, not only scoring, but also getting to the boards. I really like that class a lot. Their roles are going to continue to expand as the season goes."
On Kennesaw's pressure:
"We had our share of them [turnovers]. We had more assists than turnovers that is always a good thing. When you are throwing more to your girls than to theirs, then that is a good thing."
On how the offense kept rolling when Shanara Hollinquest was on the bench:
"We have three games in four gays. We have three post players. We are going to have to pace it some. She is banged up a little bit and are going to have to be smart with her. Obviously, she still had a good night and put up some big numbers. I have a lot of confidence in MD [Michelle Davis] and Erin [Helton], so we will keep going to them as well."
Senior Shanara Hollinquest
On the freshman contributing in the second half:
"We push them in practice. We tell them you are freshmen, but you are going to come into the fire, so you have to step it up. They really responded to the call. I am proud of them."
On building some confidence with a win at home:
"It is great. Our coaches are smiling, so that is a plus for us. It is a good win, especially going into conference play Monday. This is good for us."
