- With the loss the Lady Mocs fall to 2-4 on the season...it is the first time UTC is 2-4 since beginning the 1995-96 season with a 1-5 record.
- Despite shooting just 40.0% (20-50) from the floor, the Lady Mocs were 8-16 (50.0%) from behind the arc.
- UTC was outrebounded 32-27 in the game...the five-rebound difference is the largest deficit for UTC this season...the 27 total boards is also the fewest of the year.
- After hitting six of their first nine 3-pt. FGs in the first eight minutes of the game, the Wildcats were 1-14 the rest of the way...Villanova's first 18 points came from behind the arc.
- Villanova's bench outscored the Lady Mocs 29-15...outside of Hollinquest, no other UTC played had more than seven points or four rebounds in the game.
INDIVIDUAL
Freshman Michelle Davis
- Scored six points on 2-7 shooting to go with four boards
- Made the all-tournament team with 22 points and 12 rebounds in the two games
Freshman Erin Helton
- Had five points and two boards
- Hit her first career 3-pt. FG in the game...is now 1-4 on the year from deep
Senior Shanara Hollinquest
- Game-high 25 points on 9-17 shooting and 7-9 from the FT line
- Added a game-high nine rebounds
- Made the all-tournament team by leading the event in scoring with 51 points...she shot 20-32 (62.5%) from the floor and 11-18 (61.1%) from the FT line in the two games.
- Led all players with a two-game total of 21 rebounds
- Has 1,262 career points and passed Tammy Dowdell (1992-94) and Jan Cameron (1991-94) to move up to 13th place on UTC's all-time scoring list...needs 10 points to pass Jennifer Wilson (2000-03) and 17 points to pass Lisa Porter (1980-83) to move into 11th place.
- She is now averaging a team-high 20.7 ppg while shooting 56.8% from the field...she also leads the team with 9.7 rpg.
Senior Jenaya Wade-Fray
- Scored seven points on 3-10 shooting, 1-3 from 3-pt. range
- Has 164 career 3-pt. FGs and is No. 4 on the UTC career list...needs seven more to pass Miranda Warfield (2000-04) for third all-time at Chattanooga
