TEAM
- The Lady Mocs scored a 64-53 win over Southern Conference-leading College of Charleston tonight. UTC is now 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the SoCon. The College of Charleston falls to 9-4 overall and suffers its first SoCon loss to drop to 4-1 in league action. The Cougars had won five-straight coming into tonight's game.
- UTC was just 4-21 from behind the arc, including 0-6 in the second half. The Lady Mocs did shoot 22-34 (64.7%) from inside the arc, despite Charleston playing mostly zone defense in the game.
- Chattanooga's bench outscored the Cougar's bench 22-2.
- UTC outrebounded the College of Charleston 44-28, including 13-8 on the offensive end.
- The College of Charleston had a season-low nine assists in the game.
INDIVIDUAL
Senior Shanara Hollinquest
- 13 points on 6-10 shooting and 1-3 from the FT line.
- Tied for game-highs with eight boards.
- Has 1,421 career points, ranking No. 7 on the Lady Mocs' all-time list...needs 52 points to pass Katasha Brown (2002-06) for No. 6.
- Has 728 career rebounds...passed Alex Anderson (2005-08) and Katarika Banks (1997-01) to move into eighth on the Lady Mocs' all-time list tonight...needs 41 more to pass Kim Brown (1988-93) for seventh place.
- Made her 400th free throw over her career. Just the second player in Lady Mocs history to do so. Needs 18 to reach Regina Kirk's (1984-88) spot at No. 1.
Senior Jenaya Wade-Fray
- Team-high 14 points on 5-12 shooting, 2-7 from 3-pt. range and 2-2 from the FT line
- Tied for game-highs with eight boards.
- Season-high four assists.
Freshman Michelle Davis
- Scored 10 points on 5-7 shooting in 16 minutes off the bench
- First time in double-figures in six games
