Postgame Quotes
East Tennessee State at Chattanooga
McKenzie Arena
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Nov. 11, 2010
Women's Basketball Head Coach Wes Moore
On the energy level of the team:
"They killed us on the boards. I think that we got outscored in the paint and I am sure we are going to find that they scored off of offensive rebounds. We will have to find ways to get us points in the long stretches. It is frustrating. It doesn't get any easier as we head to Knoxville."
On the play of Bailey Dewart:
"I can't say anything bad about Bailey. She was playing through pain, battling on the boards and playing hard."
On the first 30 minutes of lay:
"We were down ten and found a way to fight back to take the lead. The freshmen did some good things especially late in the game. I am sure that we will find in this film that everybody was making mistakes, so we have to evaluate where we are and look at everybody as an option."
Sophomore Guard Kayla Christopher
On the last nine minutes of the game:
"They wanted it more than us. We stopped blocking out and getting back on defense. They killed us on the boards. That was a big thing when they went on that run was second chance points."
On what can be learned from the game:
"It is early. We definitely want to win. We are really young and have a whole season ahead of us. We have a lot to learn from and will go out tomorrow and learn from them."
On playing Tennessee on Monday:
"We have to pay attention to details and work harder."
Junior Guard Bailey Dewart
On playing your first game in over a year:
"I felt pretty good, but a win would have been nice. I felt like we should have played harder at the end."
On team's play at the end of the game:
"They out rebounded, out played us and out scored us in the painted. We didn't play help defense, so we didn't get the box out and they got the second chance points."
On strong board play:
"I figured I could box out and do the little things and get the assist for someone else."
