"Thoughts on the game...
"I'm tickled to death with the second half - it's the first half that worries me. We gave up 46 points, which is ridiculous. That means in three halves-two against Tennessee and this one against Georgia - we gave up 51, 52 and 46 points. Our goal normally is to hold a team to 30 points a half, which I know when you're playing Georgia, Tennessee, and other SEC teams its going to be tough to do. But still, the rebounds killed me. I know that they're tall, athletic and can jump over you, but if you box them out far enough and you deliver a blow than eventually you're going to get an over the back call and we didn't get that done."
On the second half...
"We gave up 33 points in the second half...that's much better (than the first half), and it helps that we shot the lights out - 50 percent from the 3-point line, though our free throw shooting was disappointing. We did some good things. We created more turnovers than we committed so we definitely have some things to build on. I think we went a little more aggressive defense, and we just tried to get after them and play. I'm proud of the effort in the second half, it just makes you wonder 'what if' we had done a better job in the first half."
Georgia Head Coach Andy Landers
On the 18 lead changes in the first half...
"What was tough about the first half is we had to score two baskets to change the lead because they were hitting one three and we're having to score two twos to get the lead back. We were just not good defensively on the ball. I've known it and I've said it, but we've been working on it and we'll get better at it. That is the biggest thing that I saw. Other than that we weren't real bad. We played pretty good. We shot the ball well, we ran the ball, made good decisions, rebounded but we just didn't defend very well."
On the game overall...
"We need to get consistent. Our inside people need to develop more intensity and we have to step out and defend better on the wings by putting more pressure on the ball. That is the great thing about it being early in the season. There are a lot of things for us to work on, and we are getting exposed in those areas every time we play. It's obvious what we need to improve on, and we are excited to go to work on it."
