- The Lady Mocs fall 65-63 in overtime at Kennesaw State tonight...UTC drops to 3-8 overall...it is UTC's second straight OT loss and fourth in a row overall...first four-game losing streak since the last four games of the 1998-99 season in head coach Wes Moore's first season.
- KSU Tamasha Bolden hit a jumper with less than two seconds in regulation to tie the game at 53.
- Both teams shot 35% from the field...23-of-65 for UTC and 25-for-72 for KSU.
- UTC turned the ball over 21 times...second straight game with 20+ turnovers...third time this season...all losses.
- The Lady Mocs starting backcourt of junior Tenisha Townsend and sophomore Kayla Christopher combined for just 3-22 shooting in the game...1-4 from 3-point range.
- UTC had a season-high 49 boards.
INDIVIDUAL
Freshman Destiny Bramlett
- Season-high with 7 points
- Shot 3-for-6 from the field and 1-of-2 from 3-point range.
- Season-high seven rebounds.
- Had just two points coming into the game.
Junior Whitney Hood
- Career-high and game-high 32 points.
- Shot 13-for-18 from the field, 6-of-7 form the free throw line.
- Scored first seven points of the game before two fouls forced her to the bench.
- Only played six minutes in the first half due to foul trouble.
- Seventh game with 20+ points this season.
- First 30-point game...most points by a Lady Moc since Shanara Hollinquest's 35 vs. Davidson on Jan. 7, 2009.
Junior Tenisha Townsend
- Seven points on 2-of-13 shooting, 1-for-3 from 3-point range and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
- Team-high six assists
- 42 minutes...second -straight game with 40+ minutes logged.
- 18 assists last three games.
Sophomore Meghan Downes
- Seven points on 2-of-6 shooting, 2-for-3 from 3-point line and 1-for-2 from free throw line
- Career-high six rebounds
