On being more excited about the offense or worried about allowing 80 points:
"I am a "glass half empty" kind of guy. Giving up 80 points worries the heck out of me. I am looking forward to getting upstairs, watching the film and seeing exactly how bad it was. At this point though, be thankful for a win. Be thankful that we knocked down a whole bunch of threes and found a way to get it done."
On the team's 3-point shooting and Whitney Hood's play:
"It helps when you have four players that can step out and shoot the three. That gives us four threats around the perimeter, and it helps when you have a player like Whitney Hood down there scoring 20-something a game. Hood is playing at a great level right now, not only scoring herself when they don't double, but for her to go out there and have six assists and three turnovers. It's not easy down there on that block. I don't think Alex Anderson, Shanara Hollinquest or anybody else we've had has handled that as well as Hood is right now. I hate to jinx her, but she is just doing a great job."
On what can be improved:
"I know the scary part is that now the days are falling. We didn't do a whole lot of attacking today and that will worry me some, too. We didn't get to the foul line, but from the way we shot free throws, it was better off that we didn't get to the foul line. I think we were one for four. That'll tell you there that we really weren't attacking. I think you have to give Georgia Southern a lot of credit. They came in a little short handed and they just shot the lights out. It was probably a fun game for the fans, and I guess that sells tickets, but I would like to see a little defense from our standpoint."

"Whenever you are in the zone you are in the zone, but they took away the 3-point shot the second half."
On starting conference play with a win:
"It gives a lot of confidence to our team as we head into conference play."

"I think since the second half of the Wyoming game we have played a lot better as a team. I think things are coming together as a team."
On the time off before playing Kentucky:
"I think any time off is good time off, we have exams this week and we can get our legs back under us and we will be ready to go.
