TEAM
- The Lady Mocs fell at Samford 61-49...UTC drops to 8-11 overall and 5-5 in SoCon play...Samford improves to 13-6, 6-4 in league play.
- The Lady Mocs and Samford have met 12 times since 1998 and six times as SoCon opponents...UTC holds a 9-3 advantage with all three losses coming on the road.
- The Lady Mocs got off to a 3/13 start from the field, falling behind 14-7...beginning a the 14:05 mark, Chattanooga went scoreless for over five minutes in the first half, ending on a Kayla Christopher layup at 8:40.
- Despite the shooting troubles in the first half, Chattanooga only trailed 31-23 at the break...Lady Mocs are now 2-9 when trailing at the half.
- Chattanooga also had a long scoring drought in the second half from the 15:14 mark until a Whitney Hood jumper at 8:31.
- Samford led the game from start to finish.

Freshman Alex Black
- Back in action after missing eight games with a foot injury.

Sophomore Kayla Christopher
- 14 points on 5-11 shooting, 2-4 from 3-pt. range and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Game-high seven assists.
- Added four boards and two steals.
Junior Whitney Hood
- Tied for team-high with 14 points.
- Shot 6-13 from the field, 2-3 from the FT line.
- Tied a season-low for scoring.
- Scored her 400th point of the year...has 405.
- Leads the SoCon in scoring at 21.3 ppg.
- Team-high six rebounds
- Took her first 3-pt. FG of the year.
