First Round
- Chattanooga played with Purdue and N.C. State...trail the Boilermakers by five while topping the Wolfpack by two.
- Strong field assembled with 15 top 50 programs including two top five - No. 3 Auburn and No. 4 North Carolina - and three more in top 20 - No. 13 N.C. State, No. 15 Duke and No. 16 Ohio State.
- Today's 307 ties for the second-best start this season for the Mocs...305 to open the season at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in the low first round...7th lowest round of 2011-12.
- Front Nine (Counters by Round): +14 (+14/-/-)...Marion Duvernay was even on the front nine which played as the back for the Mocs today.
- Back Nine: +7 (+7/-/-)...Mette Kryger was level on the back nine...4 of UTC's six birdies came on this nine.
- Duvernay's 73 (+1) gives her four of the Mocs' top eight rounds to this point in the season...had two birdies, 13 pars and three bogeys...5th card with 15 or more par or better holes...is even over her last 54 holes...tied with a top 10 and another top 20 player while beating 20 top 100 performers including No. 3 Marta Sanz (Auburn) by five and No. 17 Brittany Altomare (Virginia) by eight.
