Mocs Are in 17th through 36 Holes at Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team is 17th after 36 holes at the Tar Heel Invitational on UNC Finley Golf Course. Chattanooga shot its low round of the season to date with a 297 to move to 604 overall, two strokes behind Arkansas.
Jordan Britt (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Mette Kryger (Nivaa, Denmark) each carded one-over par 73s to pace the Mocs. Marion Duvernay (Publier, France) and Michaela Gasplmayr (Ebenfurth, Austria) rounded out the counting scores shooting 75 and 76, respectively. Yushira Budhram (Johannesburg, South Africa) had the drop score of 79.
Kryger is tied for 27th at 146 after her second straight 73. Britt moved into a tie for 54th at 151, while Gasplmayr is at 153. Duvernay (155) and Budhram (157) round out the scoring for UTC.
Alabama and LSU are tied for first at seven-under par (569). Host North Carolina is third at even (576). The Crimson Tide's Hannah Collier leads individually at nine under, 135. Michigan State's Caroline Powers is second at minus seven (137) followed by LSU's Madelene Sagstrom one shot back in third (138).
Sunday's final round is a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m. Chattanooga is paired with Arkansas and Notre Dame starting on holes 15, 16 and 17. Live scoring can be accessed at the link above or on the women's golf schedule page on GoMocs.com.
