"The veterans really stepped up tonight. First of all, Tenisha Townsend hit some big 3's, especially in the first half to keep us around. Whitney Hood sat about most of the game. We probably gambled a bit putting her in [with four fouls] with about 10-, 11-, 12 minutes to play and she hit some big shots for us in the second half.
"Kayla Christopher - zero points in the first half, had 22 points in the second. Whitney Hood - zero points in the first half, had 13 points in the second half. Kylie Lambert - 10 rebounds from the wing position, she added nine points.

"Ashley Southern hit some big shots for us. She's probably wondering what is going on because I was on her pretty hard about her defense, a couple of lapses there. I know these freshman have a lot coming at them. There are a lot of talented people on the bench who can do good things for us and give us some valuable minutes."

"It was a great effort for Indiana State. They were without a couple of kids that were hurt, left them shorthanded. This is a great program with a great tradition. To come in here and get a "W", it's a great thing."
