TEAM
- UTC improves to 14-13 on the year, 11-7 in the SoCon with a 65-53 win over UNC Greensboro...the Spartans drop to 13-13 overall and 10-8 in the SoCon.
- This is the 12th straight win in the series for UTC...the Lady Mocs improve to 28-6 all-time against the Spartans.
- Shot 53% (24-45) from the field..second time in last three games shooting better than 50%...4th time in a SoCon game.
- UTC shot a season-low 45 FGs in the game...13 3-pt. FG attempts was the second fewest this year.
- Only 11 assists in the game, second-lowest total in a SoCon game this.
- 18 turnovers ties for second-highest in a SoCon game this season.
- Chattanooga led 34-30 at the break...Lady Mocs started the second half on a 12-0 run to take control of the game...UNCG did not score until a Breonna Patterson FT at the 13:41 mark to make the score 46-31...the Spartans' first basket did not come until the 12:26 mark when Janae' Stevenson made a layup to close the gap to 48-34.
- UTC is 11-3 when leading at the half...11-0 when leading with 10 minutes left in the game.
- This is only the fourth win for UTC when scoring under 70 points...4-13 overall.
INDIVIDUAL
Sophomore Kayla Christopher
- 10 points on 4-10 shooting, 1-5 from 3-pt. range and 1-2 from the FT line.
- Team-high four assists.
- Added four boards.
Freshman Taylor Hall
- Game-high 10 rebounds.
- Second-straight game with 10+ rebounds.
- Played 22 minutes off the bench.
Junior Whitney Hood
- Game-high 18 points on 8-13 shooting, 2-3 from the foul line.
- Only played 20 minutes due to foul trouble.
- Leads the SoCon with 19.8 ppg.
Head Coach Wes Moore
- 504th career victory - 504-154 (.766) - 22nd season.
- 304th UTC victory - 304-98 (.756) - 13th season.
- 204th SoCon regular season victory - 204-38 (.843) - 13th season.
Junior Tenisha Townsend
- 11 points on 2-6 shooting, 2-5 from 3-pt. range and 5-6 from the FT line.
- Added five rebounds.
Sophomore Capriee Tucker
- Career-high 14 points in just 16 minutes off the bench.
- Shot 5-5 from the field and 4-5 from the FT line.
- Career-highs for FGs and FTs made.
