On team's play:
"This was a good win. It was kind of reminiscent of Chattanooga basketball. It wasn't very pretty at times, but we just gutted it out and found a way to win. Some of the stats are not impressive. We got out rebounded, we had almost twice as many turnovers as assists, but the kids gutted it out. We need to fix the rebounding margin if we want to make a run in the tournament."
On team's defense:
"They are capable of putting points up quick, but our kids were able to get to their players and put a hand in their face. We were fortunate that Elon didn't have one of their best shooting nights."
On guard's play:
"Our guards really stepped up tonight. Kayla Christopher with 21 points. I thought Kylie (Lambert) played her heart out tonight. Tenisha (Townsend) was big. She came up with six defensive boards. How she played 34 minutes without an assist, I am not sure. But she didn't have a turnover either. Alex Black played really well for us in the first half."
On team's improvement:
"I am proud of this team. They have gotten better, and have continued to work. They have battled and competed."
