TEAM
- The Lady Mocs defeat Furman 83-65 to improve to 12-12 overall and 9-6 in the SoCon...the Paladins drop to 9-14 overall and 5-9 in the SoCon.
-UTC jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first 3:30 of the game...Lady Mocs held Furman without a field goal for more than five minutes to start the game...led 27-8 at the 12:06 mark in the first half.
- UTC had a season-high 42 points in the first half...led 42-29 at the break...8-2 when leading at the half this season.
- Furman cut the lead to eight, 51-43, on a layup by Martha Robinson at the 15:14 mark in the second half...UTC then went on a 12-2 to take control of the game.
- This was the 60th meeting between the Lady Mocs and Furman since the Paladins joined the Southern Conference in 1985. Chattanooga holds a 40-20 advantage over Furman including a current 20-game win streak dating back to 2003.
- Furman was 8-1 at home coming into tonight's game.
- Lady Mocs improve to 8-0 when scoring 70+ points.
- UTC outscored Furman 9-1 off turnovers.
