JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational - March 12, 2011 - Orange Park, Fla.
Second Round
- Chattanooga is ranked No. 32 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, No. 34 on Golfstat and is receiving votes in the Golf World/NGCA Coaches Poll.
- The Mocs played with East Carolina and Stetson...Beat ECU by 5 and Stetson by 20.
- Chattanooga is one of three SoCon teams in the field with Elon and UNC Greensboro...The Mocs are 9-0 against SoCon competition this season...Up 30 shots on UNCG and 40 over Elon.
- Front Nine (Counters by Round): +1 (+5/-4/-)...Christine Wolf torched the front nine with five birdies turning at -4...Wolf and Emma de Groot are -1 through two rounds on this side.
- Back Nine: +4 (+3/+1/-)...Wolf was -2 for today's round and is -2 overall through two days.
- The Mocs' -3 score of 285 is the 2nd under-par team round of the season (290, -2, Kinderlou Forest Challenge) and 3rd all-time (4th year)...Lowest team score of the season for UTC and best since 283 (-5) in the final round of this event in 2009...5th par or better round all-time.
- Chattanooga's 581 (+5) is the lowest 36-hole score in school history best its 583 (+7) performance in the 2009 JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational.
- 2nd time this season the Mocs have the lead after 36 holes...Also led going into final round of Lady Paladin Invitational (9 Strokes)...1st time this year that Chattanooga has had the low team round in each round...More importantly, UTC led after the final round twice thus far with wins at the Lady Paladin Invitational and Kinderlou Forest Challenge.
- 66 (-6) by Wolf today is a school record as is her 36-hole total of 141 (-3)...8 birdies in the round is a season high for a Mocs golfer by two...4th par or better round of the season, 14th career...2nd round in the 60s season and career...Other instance was 69 (-4) in final round of Kinderlou Forest Challenge...8th round with three or more birdies this year...jumped into the lead from a tied for 13th...9 total birdies leads the tourney...Ranks tied for 2nd in Par 3 (-1) and Par 5 (-3) scoring.
- 17 team birdies is also a season's best topping the 15 in the final round of the Kinderlou Forest Challenge.
- Chattanooga played 56 of 72 counting holes at par or better today, 77.8%...117 of 144 through two rounds (81.3%).
- All six Chattanooga golfers are in the top 25 led by Wolf in 1st...de Groot (T2), Loza (T6), Budhram (T10) and Britt (T10) give the Mocs five in the top 10...Duvernay is tied for 23rd.
- de Groot's 70 (-2) moved her up to a tie for second from a tie for 19th...Team-best 5th par or better round, 30th career...4 birdies after zero in round one...Ties season high for birdies in a round...8th time recorded three or more this season.
- Marion Duvernay had her 2nd eagle of the season today which gives her the team lead in just three tournaments...Reached the par 5 5th hole in two with a mere tap in for eagle.
- Jordan Britt shot even par 72 playing as an individual...2nd par or better round of the season and 2nd lowest (69, Final Rd, Landfall Tradition)...Tied for 2nd in Par 4 scoring (E).
