Cotter Takes Fourth in 3000m at McCravy

Cotter ran a personal record 8:13.18 in the event, just missing senior Chris Berry's (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) school record by three seconds. Senior Emmanuel Kirwa (Kapsabet, Kenya) was 11th in the event with a PR of 8:20.99. Sophomore Mark Cole (McKenzie, Tenn.) also ran a PR with a time of 8:37.75.
Sohpomore Amanda Sumner (Bristol, Conn.) was eighth in the women's 3000 meter finishing with a time of 9:51.41.
Junior Joshue Vasquez led three Chattanooga runners in the men's 800 meter run just missing his PR with a time of 1:56.61 followed by sophomore Drew Austell with a time of 1:56.90. Sophomore John Gilpin was not far behind with a time of 1:58.78.
Sophomore Blake Olson (Pleasant View, Tenn.) ran the 60 meter hurdles for the Mocs with a time of 9.49, just .29 seconds off his personal record. Freshmen Taylor Pannell and Samantha Pulido competed in the women's 60 meter hurdles. Pannell finished with a time of 10.25 followed by Pulido's 10.27.
The Running Mocs will take the next weekend off and prepare for the Valentine Invitational hosted by Middle Tennessee on Feb. 11 at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
