KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team finished 14th at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Sunday at Holston Hills Country Club. Chattanooga shot a final round 304 for its 54-hole total of 922.
Jordan Britt (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Isabella Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) led UTC for its final 18. Each carded two-over par 74s. Britt's gave her a team-best 222 (+6) which placed her in a tie for 26th.
Emily McLennan (Queensland, Australia) and Marion Duvernay (Publier, France) were next for the Mocs. Each shot 230. Loza and Mette Kryger (Nivaa, Denmark), who played as an individual, shot 240, while Porsche Campbell ended up at 246.
Penn State captured the team title shooting three-over par 867. That's four shots better than runner-up Tennessee at 871, while Purdue was third another shot back with an 872. The Boilermakers' Paula Reto claimed medalist honors with a final round 69 providing a final total of 211 (-5).
Chattanooga completes the fall portion of the schedule in two weeks at the Lady Paladin Invitational. The 54-hole event is October 26-28 at Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C. Live scoring link, if available, can be accessed on the women's golf schedule page on GoMocs.com.
