TEAM
- Mocs beat Butler 76-47 on the road at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. It was Chattanooga's first trip to Butler.
- The last time the two teams met was November 28, 2003 in Coral Gables, Fla., in the opening game of the Sonesta-Coconut Grove Classic. UTC lost 79-73. Chattanooga won the next 27 games – a school record and at the time the nation's longest active win streak – that culminated with UTC's NCAA first round win over Rutgers.
-UTC's largest lead was 76-44, 32 points – with 27 seconds remaining. Chattanooga started the game with a 14-3 run. After Butler pulled to within seven (26-19) with 4:29 to play in the first, the Mocs went on a 20-4 run spanning the remaining time in the first half and the first six minutes of the second to stretch its lead to 46-23 over the remainder of the first half and six minutes into the second.
- The Mocs had season-highs for scoring (76), rebounding (45) assists (20).
- UTC tied its season-highs for 3-pointers made (8) and blocks (4).
- Chattanooga shot over 50% for the first time this season making 31-of-61 field goals.
- The Mocs ruled the paint, outscoring Butler 46-12 inside
- The Mocs outrebounded Butler 45-24 (10-4 offensive)
- UTC scored 20 points off 15 Butler turnovers while the Bulldogs converted 13 UTC miscues into just seven points.
- Chattanooga's bench contributed 25 points while Butler's one non-starter had all 18 bench points.
