Chattanooga Basketball Postgame Quotes
Chattanooga at Notre Dame
Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center – South Bend, Ind.
Friday – Nov. 21, 2014

Head Coach Jim Foster
Opening thoughts on the game:

“The bottom line is, it is a 40-minute deal and you can't relax at any point in time.  You have to compete and we had a few people that just were not competitive and were not doing it at the level that was necessary.  They were not getting back in.  I want competitive people.  I want people that want to fight.

“I thought we were fighting at the end.  We fought the last six-seven minutes.  There was a point in time they were shooting 70% for the game and we were not getting stops.  We weren't doing what we needed to do defensively.  Then there was a point when we started to get hands on balls, blocked shots and competed at a level.

On Notre Dame's fast break:
“We had people attacking the ball.  We had people double-teaming the ball after they got a rebound.  They automatically have numbers as soon as they get out of that trap.  They throw the ball ahead … that's youthful aggression and that will disappear.”

On the play of Anna Claire Noblit:
Anna Claire might not be the biggest, she might not be the quickest and fastest player, but when she gets out there, she competes.  And she is going to be out there more often.  Freshmen have to learn things, but what she doesn't have to learn is that she has a quick release, she is willing to take it.  She is going to get better defensively.”
