- Chattanooga falls to 2-2 on the year with an 88-53 loss to #3/2 Notre Dame at Purcell Pavilion in South Bend, Ind. It was the first meeting between the two teams.
- Chattanooga head coach Jim Foster and Notre Dame head Muffett McGraw have a history that dates back to St. Joe's. Foster hired McGraw to be his assistant coach after the departure of Geno Auriemma from that role.
