• The Chattanooga Mocs beat UT Martin 65-54 Saturday night at the Elam Center … it is Chattanooga's second win over a school in the UT system … the Mocs beat No. 4 Tennessee 67-63 on Nov. 26 at the Roundhouse … Chattanooga improves to 6-3 on the year … Martin drops to 3-7 overall.

• Mocs shot 45.5 percent for the game and 50 percent in the second half … the Mocs were 11-of-31 from beyond the arc.

• Chattanooga started the game on a 7-0 run and led 12-3 with 14:37 to play in the opening frame … Martin scored the next 14 points and held the lead for the next 17:22 … Joyner's fastbreak layup with 17:14 to play in the game gave the Mocs the lead … the lead would change twice and the game would be tied once before the Mocs took the lead for good on a fastbreak layup by Shumpert with 15:40 to play.

• The Mocs pushed the lead into double digits and led by as much as 15 points (61-46) with 8:45 to play.

• 11 3-pointers is the most Chattanooga has made this year.

• The Mocs' 20 assists ties for the most assists by Chattanooga this season.

• Chattanooga had a season-high 17 steals at Martin.

• The Mocs forced a season-high 23 turnovers against the SkyHawks.

• Four free throws made was a season-low for Chattanooga … 4-of-9 from the free throw line (44.4%) was also a season-low.

• The SkyHawks outrebounded Chattanooga 33-29

• UT Martin edged Chattanooga in the paint 28-24 … The Mocs dominated points off turnovers with 28 off 23 miscues compared to seven for UTM on 16 Chattanooga turnovers.

• Chattanooga led fastbreak points 13-5 … Martin got 20 points from its bench compared to UTC's five points.

• The lead changed four times and the game was tied just once.
