- Chattanooga improves to 11-3 on the year ... South Dakota falls to 10-3 ... this was the first meeting between the two teams.

- For the first time in five games, the Mocs topped the 60-point mark with 67 points ... it is also the first time in as many games that a UTC opponent has topped the 50-point mark.

- Chattanooga led 30-26 at the start of the second half and used an 11-0 run to lead 41-26 wtih 17:38 to play ... The Mocs pushed the lead to 18 points, 50-32 with a 20-6 run that included the 11-0 scoring advantage.

- This is the Mocs second tournament win in San Antonio. The Mocs won the UTSA Holiday Classic in the 2007-08 season with wins over Weber State and Miami (Ohio).
