“We had some people that just were not aggressive enough, and at a certain point in the game they got more aggressive. Alex has got to shoot the ball. She's got a terrific mid-range jump shot and that's what we went to, to tie it in the first overtime. Chelsey is an offensive talent. She has got a game. She can shoot the three, attack the rim, two good things.”
On the play of Jasmine Joyner:
I though Jas came in and really did a terrific defensive job on her. We were having trouble with the Robinson kid. Ashlen was having trouble and I though Jas came in and made it much more difficult for her and that helped us a lot.
On the play of Samford:
“They are a good basketball team. They are probably playing as well as anybody in the league. They have gotten their act together. They run their offense very well and are very disciplined. You've got to keep that and match that. I thought, as the game progressed, we got better at it. I thought at the end, a lot of people made big shots and we got some big stops.”
